I made this illustration a year ago, but things have changed very little since then - except that they're both running (away from me) now.

Since I have had no fewer than 3 blogs of various types in the past 3 years, I feel like writing yet *another* “About” page is a bit narcissistic. Not that I don’t adore myself (I really don’t; I think I’m a prick 75% of the time), but I’ll keep this particular “About” page short and sweet, since I’ve pretty much said everything already.

1. I write fiction. I write blogs with attitude. I write because saying all the things I want to say out loud would drive my husband – and anyone around me – to suicide in under ten minutes. It would also force those around me to call the police and have me institutionalized. I plan on publishing my novel in book form some day, so start sucking up to me now and I might pencil you into my “Acknowledgments” and MAYBE send an autographed copy of my novel your way. I said MAYBE.

2. I design websites. My designs have been featured on We Love WP, CSS Based, Most Inspired, CSS Snack, CSS Deluxe, CSS Fury and hopefully other design galleries I don’t know about. Galleries that don’t have the word “suckiest” in their names. I have a penchant for textured, illustrative sites that aren’t boxy and have a touch of bright color to them. I love girly goth and girly grunge, sites that are masculine save for a bit of cupcake frosting splattered on it. I work in Photoshop, Illustrator, and some Flash. I hate Dreamweaver with a passion and use good old basic text editors to code CSS and HTML.

3. I have two little girls, currently aged almost-4 and almost-2, and they pretty much run the show in my household. I talk about them a lot in my Mommy Brained blog, and gave them the names Nora and Ava respectively. At the time, I had planned on remaining anonymous. Considering my blog is now named AFTER ME, I think it’s safe to say I am no longer anonymous. That being said, I will keep the names “Nora” and “Ava” and “TH” (my husband) for the sake of consistency. MB’s archives will be kept here, if you wish to peruse them, and all future MB posts will be made on this site from now on. And yes, I will be writing this blog in the style of MB (translation: I will talk A LOT of shit). You have been forewarned.

Well, so much for the “About” page being short and sweet. I’m such an egotistical sonofabitch.
